Wholesale Fashion Jewellery

January 27, 2009

Jewelry is but one of the many things people adore. Numerous pieces of jewelry often have some degree of sentimental value, having been passed down from generation to generation. Whether you’re looking to acquire some jewelry for yourself or a loved one, you will undoubtedly be shocked to see the exorbitant prices which many jewelers charge for even their blandest looking products. Many people can’t afford to spend a small fortune on a non-necessity, let alone one that has no unique offerings aesthetics-wise. This is where wholesale fashion jewellery comes in. Vendors in the wholesale fashion industry widely agree that the quality of such products has grown immensely in the last few years, to the point that people now have trouble distinguishing imitations from the real thing. Why invest thousands of dollars in a piece of jewelry when others wouldn’t think twice about questioning its authenticity?

The magnificent growth which the wholesale fashion jewellery industry has seen can only be attributed to the higher-caliber products which have flooded the market. Retailers of such products often boast pieces of jewelry that are plated with high karat gold. As most people know, the karat rating refers to the purity of the gold. As the purity increases, so does the vivid color of the gold. Most would expect the karat rating of such products to be on the lower end of the double digit scale. It turns out that many wholesale fashion jewellery products are often plated with 18K gold, a rating reserved for more prized pieces. As if this alone is not an indicator of what quality products have become available, consider this. Manufacturers have now equipped many of their products with a thick gold plating, as to avoid a fading effect. Hence, they’ve effectively expanded the longevity of their products into the realm of traditional jewelry.

Video Editing with Computers

January 24, 2009

Prior to the invention of the computers, video editing was not an easy task. It would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars just to put up a professional video editing room equipped with all the components like tape decks, effects generator, switcher, audio mixer, character generator, multiple monitors, and signal enhancers. To be a video editor, it will take years to learn how everything works. If you’re not knowledgeable enough, you can’t operate the equipments inside the room. The computers changed the world of video editing. Now, even novice video editors can perform the different tasks at home.

Shots taken for several seconds take a couple of hours to edit and if you’re renting out an editing room for $500 to $1,000 dollars every hour, it will cost you a lot of money just to edit a shot taken for a whole minute. Instead of renting out an editing room, you can spend the money to buy a complete video editing system and good software. Through the use of computers, video editing is a lot cheaper and easier. Besides, it’s really a lot of fun to edit or create videos in the comfort of your home. The possibilities are also endless in today’s modern world.

Video editing is no longer limited to big and rich companies. Today, even an ordinary individual can enter the video and TV production industry; thanks to the creation of computers. Oftentimes, the computer is already equipped with a video editing program or software and you already have the opportunity to create edited videos or clips.

Video Editing with Movie Maker

January 15, 2009

The Windows Movie Maker is already built in PCs with of course, the Windows Operating System. So even if you don’t download any video editing software, you’re already equipped with good quality editing tools. When you capture videos from your camera or camcorders whenever there is a special event, your videos often have ‘junk’ portions.

These junk portions should be eliminated if you want to create professional-grade videos or movies from the comfort of your home. Home movies are mostly boring because most of the materials are not very interesting. Well, one way to create interesting videos is by editing the raw footage using the Movie Maker.

Newbies often use the zooming function when capturing videos. Your audience will feel sea-sick if you do a lot of zooming so try to minimize the use of this function to framing shots only. You’re in luck because through WMM, you can easily edit the zooming scenes in your raw footages.

When filming a family member or a narrator, you will often video the part when they say ‘am I on?’ or ‘should I speak now?’; don’t worry because you can now easily take that part out.

So how do you get rid of these junk shots?

When transferring videos from the camcorder or any other gadget to your computer, WMM will ask you if you want to manually capture the video; through this option, you can easily decide which sections should be transferred to the computer. This is also one way f saving disk space. There is also the option for capturing 100% of the video but you will seldom use this option since amateur videos does contain lots of junk material.

Why Hire A Designer?

January 13, 2009

A lot of online business owners start with no money. They have to do everything themselves  the preparation of a product, the development of a marketing strategy, the actual building of a website to cater to their product’s marketing needs. As their business expands over time, they will find that their simple “homemade” site might not be enough to cover everything, and they will have to take a day or two away to simply dedicate that to the website expansion.

Sounds familiar? Chances are, you’re someone who started everything with no money too, so you’re pretty skeptical when it comes to giving away your money in exchange for something that you could have done yourself. However, there is a lot more to hiring a designer than just finishing up a job that you don’t want to do.

When you hire a web designer to do your job for you, you are doing more than just handing over the “dirty job” to someone else. In fact, by paying a little money, you can let the designer worry about the little annoyances that always evade the main picture and only come haunting when you’re halfway through the job. That way, you will be more focused and have more time to spend on your actual business strategy.

Good Design Practices

January 2, 2009

Your website is where your business resides  it’s like the headquarter of an offline company. Hence, it is important to practise good design principles to make sure your site reaches out to the maximum number of visitors and sells to as many people as possible.

Make sure you have clear directions on the navigation of your website. The navigation menu should be uncluttered and concise so that visitors know how to navigate around your website without confusion.

Reduce the number of images on your website. They make your site load very slowly and more often than not they are very unnecessary. If you think any image is essential on your site, make sure you optimize them using image editing programs so that they have a minimum file size.

Keep your text paragraphs at a reasonable length. If a paragraph is too long, you should split it into seperate paragraphs so that the text blocks will not be too big. This is important because a block of text that is too large will deter visitors from reading your content.
